THE DSOC is the Durban School and Society of Comedy

The D.S.O.C started as a society of comedians based in Durban, South Africa. Developing, supporting and performing stand-up comedians since 1997.

The DSOC runs the Club & Festival Comedy part of Bravo Communications' shows. The Corporate Comedy is done by Bravo.

The concept spearheaded by Glen Bo (comedian) helping new acts perform as well as offer a platform for established comedians to tour, work the clubs and get into the corporate and festival world. The 'DSOC' brand now still devlops comedians but also showcases the best KZN has to offer around RSA. The clubs and  shows have developed some of SA's best stand-ups since late 2007. Durban's comedy scene is now a organic monster and DSOC was the foundation for it's artistic development. Having toured all over KZN for 3 years DSOC promoter - Glen Bo - set his sights on KZN's Largest Festival, and in 2010 - in Versus Comedy Tent - at  Splashy Fen was packed to capacity for 4 days showcasing the best from KZN.

This is proof that talent can be coastal. Heckling mainstream thought since 2007 (c)
